IQ Option has added commodity CFDs to the list of trading opportunities. On one hand, the ESMA regulations have prohibited Binary Options trading for the retail investors under the European Union legislation. The retail investors as well as the professional traders can take part in CFD trading using the IQ Option platform.

The traders will be offered a leverage of up to x150 on the commodity CFDs. (Terms and Conditions apply) However, after 1st August, the leverage for retail investors will be reduced to 1:10 by the regulations of European Security and Markets Authority (ESMA). The non-European traders will continue to enjoy the same leverage as before even after the implementation of the regulations.

Commodities Offered by IQ Option

At the moment, the traders using the IQ Option platform will be able to choose from 9 popular commodities. Crude Oil WTI, offered by IQ Option for CFD trading, continues to have a high trading volume. Crude Oil Brent, a major energy commodity is also available. Gasoline, used in fuel transportation will enhance the experience of the traders in commodity trading.

Gold continues to enjoy popularity as the metal value is not so volatile in the long-term. It is a good investment choice when there is so much tension in the market. Silver, platinum, and copper are also good investments and their trading volumes are also quite high.

Corn and wheat are the food commodities offered by IQ Option for CFD trading. The livestock feed and staple food can also make commodity CFD trading challenging for traders looking to explore new areas.

The clients of IQ Option will now be able to reap the benefits from CFD trading on some of the most traded commodities around the world. The option is open to non-European and European traders, retail and professional investors.
